Make your journey as exceptional as the destination
To move, to breathe, to fly, to float,
To gain all while you give.
To roam the roads of islands remote,
To travel is to live.

Who We Are

About Us

Established in 2009 and based in Kenya, we provide professional air charter services and tailor-made flying safaris throughout East and Southern Africa.

The idea for bespoke, low flying safaris was born when Capt.Torben Rune, Capt. Aslam Khan and Mr. Severin Schultte purchased an executive Cessna Grand Caravan for their private use. They invited friends and embarked from South Africa on an epic flying safari following a route not often flown, up the east coast of Africa. The breathtaking low flying experience of land, sea and sky were too spectacular not to share, and they formed Scenic Air Safaris to share such magical experiences  with a wider audience.

Ten years later, we continue to pioneer unique routes, locations, and experiences. Come and join us, and let’s explore together.

What We Do

Private Air Charters

Flexibility and freedom for less than you might think

Having your own aircraft at your disposal means the freedom to choose your own schedule. Our private air charter solutions are cost efficient and comfortable with services to luxury safari camps, game lodges and beach destinations in Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar, Uganda, Rwanda and Ethiopia.

Cost Calculator

Find charter flight prices across East Africa

Flying by private charter in Africa offers a quicker, easier, safer and more convenient mode of transport between destinations. Often there is a misconception on the costs of private charter and so we have created a bespoke cost calculator tool, to provide you with a handy online ‘ready reckoner’ to help understand the pricing relating to your booking and to also give you a map showing routes between locations and the airstrips that serve the respective camps.

Simply enter your starting destination and your arrival destination and the calculator will give you a cost estimate for a choice of two types of aircraft, the Cessna 208 executive Grand Caravan and the Cessna 206 Stationair.

By viewing and utilising our Cost Calculator, you acknowledge that you have read, agreed to and understand our disclaimer.

Flying Safaris

Our trip ideas are offered to inspire you and can be tailored to suit your requirements.

Our specially curated selection of flying safaris provide a unique and truly spectacular way to experience Africa, dramatically reducing time spent travelling and great way to pack more into your safari holiday. We visit remote and inaccessible areas to give you the the very best wildlife and cultural experiences.

Specialist Travel Solutions

Luxury travel should be seamless from start to finish

Whether it’s luxury accommodation, private jet or helicopter charter or first class flights, we work around the clock to ensure your trip runs smoothly.

Why People Fly With Us

You may at times fly low enough to see the animals on the plains and to feel towards them as God did when he had just created them, and before He commissioned Adam to give them names.’ That was Karen Blixen, of Out of Africa fame, on the sublimity of flying across then British East Africa with her lover Denys Finch-Hatton. Nearly a century on, her words still beautifully describe the sensation of soaring over Kenya’s landscape on Scenic Air Safaris nine-day Endangered Species tour.

Luggage Guide

Luggage and what to carry...

Most bush airstrips we operate to in East Africa, sit at an altitude of over over 3,000ft. This affects aircraft performance and of course payload. To make it easier, we have updated the luggage guidelines for our bush aircraft fleet. Important and useful info - don't get caught short… download the .pdf guide
